This is a wonderful Thai Restaurant my family and I happened to find for dinner! We were a group of 5, and they were quite busy so it took a little while to have a booth clear up and for us to get seated. We didn't know until later, but parties of 5 or more get charged 20% gratuity automatically on the check. We tried many dishes, the food coming one by one as soon as they were ready. The papaya salad and fried tofu spring rolls were incredibly fresh. The chinese hot and sour soup was tangy and great to warm up with. The panang chicken curry and spicy chicken fried rice were really good paired together. The mixed vegetables stir fry was an unexpected hit with everyone on the table - the sauce was sweet and savory. Overall, it was a good experience that had us leaving satisfied. Great service, and their manager was fun to talk to.
This is my new favorite thing to do...find a good, fast, home cooked, meal for less than I would spend at a Jersey Mike. This place nailed it. Lunch special includes egg roll, soup or salad and a meal for $12! Nice clean location with friendly staff and the food was delicious! Wheel of a deal!
Best Thai food in San Diego north county!! Ive tried just about every Thai restaurant in north county and OceanThai is hands down the best! Consistent food quality and friendly staff. I highly recommend.
Ocean Thai has been 1 of our "go to" spots for years Always friendly servers & tasty food. Chicken dishes are quite yummy. Also, really like the shrimp spring rolls. Plenty of parking in the lot. No outside dining Several tables inside.
My son, daughter-in-love and 23 month old grandson went for lunch. The staff (I forgot their names) were friendly and attentive. My grandson caught their attention and they playfully interacted with him. It was very sweet. We ordered several items and everything was delicious. My grandson is allergic to dairy and they made a mistake on one food item for him and quickly corrected it before he ate. We will definitely be going back., Nice inviting establishment. And plenty parking.
Had a solid meal from Ocean Thai! We ordered over the phone and grabbed takeout, which was ready within 15 minutes of ordering. It seemed fairly busy inside around 6pm on a weekend and is a nice space with some tables and a few booths. The chicken satay was pounded very thin which I always love, and it was super flavorful. The peanut dipping sauce was super silky and had a great nutty taste. The chicken fried rice was also quite good, but I wish it had a sauce to add a bit more flavor.
Very Tasty food!! I'm full & Happy!! Good service and very flavorful. Thai Ice Tea...yummy. The fried shrimp..Thai Fried rice was customized to my liking.. not a fan of tomatoes in rice. Also the chicken wings were very tender and tasty as well. Everything we order was great and we had Saki to celebrate!!
